Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience including knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand for eight-hour shifts
  • Ability to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl occasionally
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules including part-time or full-time positions

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of housekeeping experience including knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
  • Other combinations of education, training or experience that provide required knowledge, skills and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning bath and kitchen areas, cleaning all floors by vacuuming or washing, removing trash, and dusting and polishing guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding areas
  • Ensure all hotel areas meet company standards, even if not specifically assigned
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public and service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety, security violations, or guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Always maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
