Job Requirements
- Minimum one year housekeeping experience including knowledge of standard operating procedures and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and/or move regularly up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for eight hour shifts
- Ability to perform physical activities including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Willingness to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces and to endure exposure to extreme weather conditions
- Commitment to following safety and security policies and maintaining superior customer service
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
- Any combination of education, training, or experience providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Job Duties
- Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning all bath and kitchen areas, clean all floors by vacuuming or washing, remove trash from guest rooms, dust and polish all guest room furnishings
- Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, air conditioning grills, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
- Ensure all hotel areas meet company standards for cleanliness even if not specifically assigned
- Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
- Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security policy violations and guest concerns
- Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
- Notify head housekeeper or supervisor when rooms are ready
- Always maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
