Job Duties
- Complete daily occupied cleaning of patient care areas
- Perform discharge and transfer cleaning and disinfection of rooms and equipment
- Demonstrate knowledge of healthcare cleaning and disinfecting principles
- Use safe chemical handling and equipment operation methods
- Maintain cleaning carts, supplies, and equipment according to standard procedures
- Remove waste and manage proper disposal including regulated medical, recycle, solid, and hazardous waste
- Follow infection prevention practices including hand hygiene, PPE usage, and isolation precautions
