Job Requirements
- Minimum one-year housekeeping experience
- Good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Capability to perform physical tasks including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to work indoors on hard and carpeted floors
- Standing for 8-hour shifts
- Willingness to work flexible schedules
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one-year housekeeping experience including knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Any other combination of education, training or experience providing required knowledge, skills and abilities
Job Duties
- Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning bath and kitchen areas
- clean all floors by vacuuming or washing
- remove all trash from guest rooms
- dust and polish all guest room furnishings
- maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, windows, and removing surrounding outside trash
- ensure all hotel areas meet company standards, even if not assigned
- visually inspect guest rooms, public areas and service areas for cleanliness and presentation
- notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
- operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart
- notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
- maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
