Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year of housekeeping experience
  • good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • ability to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl occasionally
  • specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and focus adjustment
  • ability to stand for eight hour shifts
  • ability to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
  • ability to work in extreme weather conditions including cold and heat

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience with knowledge of standard operating procedures and techniques
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • any combination of education, training or experience providing required knowledge, skills and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including all bath and kitchen areas
  • clean all floors by vacuuming or washing
  • remove all trash from guest rooms
  • dust and polish all guest room furnishings
  • maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, doors, and windows
  • remove trash from surrounding outside areas
  • ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards including unassigned areas
  • visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for cleanliness and presentation
  • notify supervisor immediately of any safety, security violations or guest concerns
  • operate housekeeping equipment and keep supplies stocked
  • notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
