Job Requirements

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience including knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as required
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Capability to stand for eight-hour shifts
  • Ability to work indoors with hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Willingness to work in exposure to cold and heat conditions

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience including knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma
  • Any other combination of education, training, or experience providing required knowledge, skills and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning all bath/kitchen areas, cleaning floors by vacuuming or washing, removing trash from guest rooms, dusting and polishing all guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, windows, doors, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
  • Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards even if not specifically assigned
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas to ensure quality cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety, security violations or guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Always maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
