Job Duties
- Complete daily occupied and discharge/transfer cleaning and disinfection of patient care areas, equipment, and common areas
- Demonstrate knowledge of healthcare cleaning and disinfecting principles and requirements
- Handle chemicals safely and operate cleaning equipment within the healthcare environment
- Maintain cleaning carts, supplies, and equipment according to standard protocols
- Remove waste and transport it to appropriate disposal areas following proper waste stream handling procedures
- Follow all infection prevention practices including cleaning protocols, hand hygiene, isolation precautions, and proper personal protective equipment use
