- High school diploma or equivalent
- some related experience preferred
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to communicate respectfully with senior citizens
- good written and verbal communication skills
- ability to read and comprehend documents
- ability to maintain a courteous and business-like manner
- ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions
- must be able to operate a cell phone or pager and telephone
- able to stand, sit, walk, climb stairs
- able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- able to operate hand and power tools
- ability to maintain safety and sanitary conditions

Job Duties
- Clean resident apartment homes including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, disinfecting, washing windows
- empty trash, waste and other disposable materials and transport to disposal area
- assist care staff with cleaning lobby, restrooms, hallways, elevators, stairwells, and common spaces
- report needed repairs to Executive Director and maintenance specialist
- maintain courteous and helpful demeanor when interacting with residents and staff
- operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely
- follow safety procedures and maintain sanitary conditions
