Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Entry level position
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Must be able to follow oral instructions
- Ability to stand and walk most of the day
- Ability to climb stairs, turn, kneel, stoop, crouch, reach, push, pull, and handle cleaning equipment and supplies
- Ability to lift and carry light to 20 pounds of equipment and linen
Job Qualifications

- Knowledge of principles of growth and development over the lifespan
Job Duties
- Performs cleaning functions in assigned areas following correct procedures
- Follows all safety procedures as pertains to all federal and local safety standards and according to hospital and department procedures
- Contributes to the efficient communication and cooperation inside and outside the department
- Uses all cleaning supplies according to established procedures
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on assigned unit
- Assesses data reflective of patient status and interprets appropriate information to identify patient requirements relative to age-specific needs
- Provides care needed as described in unit's/area's/department's policies and procedures
