Job Requirements

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience
  • Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to operate housekeeping equipment and use cleaning supplies
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Availability for flexible scheduling
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to stand for eight-hour shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience with good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
  • Any combination of education, training or experience providing required knowledge, skills and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning bath and kitchen areas, cleaning floors by vacuuming or washing, removing trash from guest rooms, dusting and polishing all guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance by cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
  • Ensure all areas of hotel meet company standards, even if not specifically assigned
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor when rooms are ready
  • Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
