Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience
  • Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules including full and part-time availability
  • Capability to stand for eight hour shifts
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • Ability to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Capacity to work in extreme weather conditions
  • Commitment to superior customer service
  • Immediate reporting of safety and security issues

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards
  • Ability to follow safety and security policies
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to perform housekeeping duties and lift up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning bath and kitchen areas, vacuuming or washing floors, removing trash, dusting and polishing furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance, such as cleaning sliding doors, air conditioning grills, windows, and removing trash from surrounding areas
  • Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards, even if the specific area is not assigned
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public and service areas for cleanliness and presentation quality
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock supplies on housekeeping cart
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor when rooms are ready
  • Maintain superior customer service standards when interacting with guests
