Job Requirements

  • minimum one year housekeeping experience
  • education equivalent to a high school diploma
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl occasionally
  • specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • ability to stand for eight hour shifts
  • willingness to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
  • tolerance to exposure to extreme weather conditions including cold and heat

Job Qualifications

  • minimum one year housekeeping experience with good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma
  • any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Job Duties

  • maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning bath and kitchen areas, cleaning all floors by vacuuming or washing, removing trash from guest rooms, dusting and polishing guest room furnishings
  • maintain outside room appearance by cleaning sliding doors, AC grills, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
  • ensure all hotel areas meet company standards even if not specifically assigned
  • visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, service areas for quality cleanliness and presentation
  • notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations or guest concerns
  • operate housekeeping equipment and keep supplies stocked by restocking housekeeping cart
  • notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • always maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
