Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, and balancing
  • Strong vision capabilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Availability to work flexible schedules including standing for 8-hour shifts
  • Ability to maintain superior customer service at all times

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience with good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to operate housekeeping equipment effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job including lifting, standing, and specific vision abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including bathing and kitchen areas, clean floors by vacuuming or washing, remove trash from guest rooms, dust and polish furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance by cleaning sliding doors, air conditioning grills, windows, and removing trash from outside areas
  • Ensure all hotel areas meet company standards regardless of specific area assignment
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security policy violations and guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Always maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
