Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience
  • Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand for 8-hour shifts
  • Ability to perform physical activities including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Comfortable working indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Willingness to adhere to safety and security policies
  • Flexible schedule availability

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience including knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Any other combination of education, training or experience providing required knowledge, skills and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning bath and kitchen areas, cleaning all floors by vacuuming or washing, removing all trash from guest rooms, and dusting and polishing all guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
  • Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards even if not assigned specifically
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety, security violations or guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Always maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
