Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand for eight hour shifts
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Availability to work flexible schedules
  • Commitment to superior customer service
  • Ability to operate housekeeping equipment and restock supplies

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to provide required knowledge, skills, and abilities through education, training, or experience
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleaning standards
  • Good communication skills for interacting with guests and team
  • Ability to follow safety and security policies
  • Capability to operate cleaning equipment safely

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning bath and kitchen areas
  • Clean floors by vacuuming or washing
  • Remove trash from guest rooms
  • Dust and polish guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, doors, and windows
  • Remove trash from surrounding outside areas
  • Ensure all areas of hotel meet company standards regardless of assignment
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
