Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in healthcare or similar environment desired
  • ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols and safety procedures
  • strong attention to detail
  • good communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • ability to handle physical demands of the job including standing, bending, and lifting
  • basic knowledge of infection control and sanitation practices

Job Duties

  • adhere to policies including showing courtesy and respect to employees and residents
  • abide by drug and alcohol policies
  • maintain good personal hygiene and appropriate dress
  • report on time and follow company procedures
  • attend staff meetings and training sessions
  • perform cleaning according to sanitation and safety standards
  • clean patient rooms, common areas, and specialized rooms
  • sweep, mop, wax, polish floors, vacuum carpets
  • dust and clean furniture, windows, walls and fixtures
  • empty garbage and replenish dispensers
  • clean toilets, sinks, mirrors, and bathroom cabinets
  • perform terminal cleaning procedures
  • report hazardous conditions and accidents
  • maintain supplies and equipment
  • perform inspections for sanitation, order, and safety
  • respect resident rights and maintain confidentiality
  • report suspected abuse or theft incidents
  • create a warm and cheerful atmosphere reflecting company values
