Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in healthcare or similar environment desired
- ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols and safety procedures
- strong attention to detail
- good communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ability to handle physical demands of the job including standing, bending, and lifting
- basic knowledge of infection control and sanitation practices
Job Duties
- adhere to policies including showing courtesy and respect to employees and residents
- abide by drug and alcohol policies
- maintain good personal hygiene and appropriate dress
- report on time and follow company procedures
- attend staff meetings and training sessions
- perform cleaning according to sanitation and safety standards
- clean patient rooms, common areas, and specialized rooms
- sweep, mop, wax, polish floors, vacuum carpets
- dust and clean furniture, windows, walls and fixtures
- empty garbage and replenish dispensers
- clean toilets, sinks, mirrors, and bathroom cabinets
- perform terminal cleaning procedures
- report hazardous conditions and accidents
- maintain supplies and equipment
- perform inspections for sanitation, order, and safety
- respect resident rights and maintain confidentiality
- report suspected abuse or theft incidents
- create a warm and cheerful atmosphere reflecting company values
