Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to work full time Monday through Friday 12 pm to 8 pm
- Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 15 pounds for extended periods
- Ability to follow infection control and safety regulations
- Demonstrated professionalism and discretion
- Valid pre-employment drug screen and background checks
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries
Job Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- Prior housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred
- Experience in healthcare or behavioral health settings is a plus
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and safe use of chemicals
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to cleaning schedules
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and respect for diverse populations
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriate boundaries
Job Duties
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of assigned areas including counseling rooms, bathrooms, offices, common areas, group rooms, and clinical spaces
- Clean, disinfect, and restock restrooms and high-touch surfaces in accordance with infection control and health standards
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
- dust and wipe furniture, fixtures, and equipment daily
- Collect and dispose of trash, recycling, and biohazard materials according to organizational and regulatory requirements
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, paper products, and disinfectants
- notify supervisor of restock needs
- Properly handle, store, and dispose of cleaning chemicals and supplies following safety guidelines and OSHA standards
- Perform deep cleaning tasks such as carpet shampooing, floor stripping and waxing, and window cleaning as assigned
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged equipment promptly
- Follow established cleaning schedules and checklists to ensure consistent quality and compliance
- Demonstrate respect and sensitivity to individuals receiving services, maintaining confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times
