Job Requirements

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience
  • good knowledge of standard operating procedures and housekeeping techniques
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • physical ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • ability to perform tasks requiring balance, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • visual ability including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and focus adjustment
  • ability to stand for eight-hour shifts
  • ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather
  • flexible schedule availability

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures and techniques
  • high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • good communication skills
  • ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • physical ability to meet job demands such as lifting and standing for extended periods
  • commitment to providing excellent customer service
  • ability to work well in a diverse and inclusive team environment

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning bathrooms and kitchens
  • clean floors by vacuuming or washing
  • remove all trash from guest rooms
  • dust and polish all guest room furnishings
  • maintain outside room appearance by cleaning sliding doors, air conditioning grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
  • ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards, even if not specifically assigned
  • visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
  • notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
  • operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • notify head housekeeper or supervisor when rooms are ready
  • maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
