Job Requirements
- Minimum one year of housekeeping experience
- Good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and move regularly up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to stand for eight-hour shifts
- Willingness to work indoor environments with hard and carpeted floors and exposure to extreme weather conditions
- Effective communication skills to interact with guests and supervisors
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year of housekeeping experience with good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Job Duties
- Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning bath and kitchen areas, cleaning floors by vacuuming or washing, removing trash from guest rooms, and dusting and polishing guest room furnishings
- Maintain outside room appearance by cleaning sliding doors, air conditioning grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
- Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards, even if the area is not specifically assigned
- Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for cleanliness and presentation quality
- Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and any guest concerns
- Operate housekeeping equipment and keep supplies ready by restocking housekeeping cart
- Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
- Always maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
