Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year of housekeeping experience
  • Good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and move regularly up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to stand for eight-hour shifts
  • Willingness to work indoor environments with hard and carpeted floors and exposure to extreme weather conditions
  • Effective communication skills to interact with guests and supervisors

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of housekeeping experience with good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning bath and kitchen areas, cleaning floors by vacuuming or washing, removing trash from guest rooms, and dusting and polishing guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance by cleaning sliding doors, air conditioning grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
  • Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards, even if the area is not specifically assigned
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for cleanliness and presentation quality
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and any guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and keep supplies ready by restocking housekeeping cart
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Always maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
