Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience
  • Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for eight hour shifts
  • Willingness to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Ability to visually inspect and ensure cleanliness and presentation standards
  • Good communication skills to notify supervisors of safety, security, and guest concerns

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Any education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning bath and kitchen areas, cleaning floors by vacuuming or washing, removing trash from guest rooms, dusting and polishing guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance by cleaning sliding doors, A/C grill, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
  • Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards even if not assigned specifically
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of safety or security violations and guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
