Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience
  • Possess good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl occasionally
  • Ability to meet specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to stand for 8-hour shifts
  • Willingness to work indoors with hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions such as cold and heat

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience with good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Any other combination of education, training, or experience providing required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning bath and kitchen areas, cleaning floors by vacuuming or washing, removing trash from guest rooms and dusting and polishing furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance by cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, doors, windows and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
  • Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards, even if not specifically assigned
  • Conduct visual inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and service areas to ensure quality in cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security policy violations and any guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and keep supplies ready by restocking housekeeping cart
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor when a room is ready
  • Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
