Job Requirements

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience
  • Good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • Equivalent to a high school diploma or any combination of education and experience providing required knowledge and skills
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for eight-hour shifts
  • Ability to work indoors with hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Availability to work flexible schedules
  • Commitment to maintaining superior customer service
  • Willingness to immediately report safety or security concerns

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience that includes good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma
  • Any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning all bath and kitchen areas, cleaning all floors by either vacuuming or washing, removing all trash from guest rooms, and dusting and polishing all guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance, including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grill, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
  • Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards, even if not specifically assigned
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety and/or security violations of policy or guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and keep supplies ready by restocking housekeeping cart
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor when rooms are ready
  • Always maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
