Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year of housekeeping experience
  • Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and move regularly up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for eight hour shifts
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • Willingness to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Flexibility to work full-time or part-time with flexible schedules

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of housekeeping experience, including knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Any other combination of education, training, or experience providing required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning all bath and kitchen areas
  • Clean all floors by either vacuuming or washing
  • Remove all trash from guest rooms
  • Dust and polish all guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance, including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, doors, and windows
  • Remove trash from surrounding outside areas
  • Ensure all areas of hotel meet company standards, even if not assigned to a specific area
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for cleanliness and presentation quality
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations or guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
