Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling
  • Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to stand for eight-hour shifts
  • Willingness to work indoors with hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Availability for exposure to extreme weather conditions

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
  • Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning bath/kitchen areas, cleaning all floors by vacuuming or washing, removing trash from guest rooms, dusting/polishing all guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance, including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grill, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
  • Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards, even if not specifically assigned
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and keep supplies stocked on housekeeping cart
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
