Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience
  • knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed
  • specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • ability to stand for 8-hour shifts
  • willingness to work indoors with hard and carpeted surfaces
  • tolerance for exposure to extreme weather conditions including cold and heat

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • any combination of education, training, or experience that provides required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning bath and kitchen areas
  • clean all floors by vacuuming or washing
  • remove all trash from guest rooms
  • dust and polish all guest room furnishings
  • maintain outside room appearance by cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding areas
  • ensure all hotel areas meet company standards even if not assigned
  • visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for cleanliness and presentation
  • notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations or guest concerns
  • operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart
  • notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
