Job Requirements

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience
  • Good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Ability to operate housekeeping equipment
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand for eight-hour shifts
  • Ability to work in varying indoor and outdoor conditions
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience including good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma
  • Any other combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning bath and kitchen areas, cleaning all floors by either vacuuming or washing, removing all trash from guest rooms, and dusting and polishing all guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, air conditioning grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
  • Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards even if the specific area is not assigned to you
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations of policy and any guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and keep supplies ready by restocking housekeeping cart
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Always maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
