Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year of housekeeping experience
  • Good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent or combination of education and experience
  • Ability to lift and move regularly up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for eight hour shifts
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Ability to meet vision requirements including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and focus adjustment
  • Ability to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Availability for both full-time and part-time schedules

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of housekeeping experience with good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Any other combination of education, training, or experience providing required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning all bath and kitchen areas, cleaning all floors by vacuuming or washing, removing all trash from guest rooms, and dusting and polishing all guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
  • Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards even if not specifically assigned
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security rule violations and guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and keep supplies stocked by restocking housekeeping cart
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
