Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience
  • Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing for eight-hour shifts, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing or balancing occasionally
  • Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and focus adjustment
  • Ability to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Availability for flexible schedules without late night shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Other combinations of education, training, or experience providing required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning bath and kitchen areas, cleaning all floors by vacuuming or washing, removing trash from guest rooms, dusting and polishing all guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
  • Ensure all areas of hotel meet company standards regardless of assignment
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security policy violations and guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Always maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
