Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- no previous experience required though hospital housekeeping experience is desired
- 1-3 years of relatable experience preferred
- ability to perform tasks and assignments under supervision
- ability to analyze situations and act within standard procedures
- reliable attendance and punctuality
- adherence to dress code and personal appearance standards
- maintain patient confidentiality

- communicate mission, ethics, and departmental goals
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner to reflect the highest integrity of the Environmental Services Department
- completes work assignments in a timely manner
- uses the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure
- observes safety precautions at all times including use of safety signs and roping off floors for cleaning
- performs all tasks to optimize patient safety and reduce healthcare errors
- knowledgeable of cleaning chemicals used in surgical suites and performs surgical suite and PACU cleaning and sanitizing
- removes all surgical waste and refuse including biohazard and standard refuse
- transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal areas
- always introduces self to patients, families, and visitors
