Job Requirements
- Ability to lift 50lbs following appropriate safety procedures
- Ability to work in an upright standing position for long periods
- Ability to crawl in small tight spaces
- Ability to work in different environmental conditions such as heat, cold, wind, and rain
- Ability to walk and climb stairs
- Ability to handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to quickly navigate property and building as needed
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and fingers
- Ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner
- Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 3 feet
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred
- Previous custodial experience preferred
- Multiple language fluency desirable
- Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required
- Knowledge of OSHA cleaning chemical regulations helpful
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely
Job Duties
- Perform various cleaning and maintenance duties including sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs, and window cleaning
- Inform supervisor of needed supplies
- Maintain cleaning solutions according to OSHA hazardous chemical requirements
- Remove trash from premises and assist in emergency cleaning
- Properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to use
- Maintain a friendly and professional attitude
- Manage appropriate levels of sanitary and cleaning supplies for assigned areas
- Inspect assigned areas daily and report cleaning and maintenance discrepancies to supervisor
- Adhere to all security procedures at all times
- Follow all safety precautions while performing work
- Complete daily work orders as scheduled
- Maintain assigned equipment in good working condition
- Clean restrooms including floors, dispensers, toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors, and counters
- Report any discrepancies or deficiencies to supervisor
- Respond to emergencies timely
- Climb ladders and work at heights up to 3 feet as necessary
