Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year of housekeeping experience
  • Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl occasionally
  • Required vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to stand for eight hour shifts
  • Willingness to work in indoor environments with hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Exposure to extreme weather conditions including cold and heat

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
  • Any combination of education, training, or experience providing required knowledge, skills and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning all bath and kitchen areas, cleaning all floors by vacuuming or washing, removing all trash from guest rooms, and dusting and polishing all guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance, including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
  • Ensure all areas of hotel meet company standards, even if not specifically assigned
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
