Job Requirements
- Minimum one-year housekeeping experience
- Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate housekeeping equipment
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to maintain superior customer service
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexibility to work various shifts including standing for eight hour shifts
- Ability to visually inspect and maintain cleanliness standards
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one-year housekeeping experience including knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
- Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma
- Any other combination of education, training, or experience providing the required knowledge, skills and abilities
Job Duties
- Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning baths and kitchens, clean all floors by vacuuming or washing, remove all trash from guest rooms, dust and polish all guest room furnishings
- Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, air conditioning grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outdoor areas
- Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards even if not specifically assigned
- Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
- Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
- Operate housekeeping equipment and keep supplies ready by restocking housekeeping cart
- Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
- Always maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
