Job Requirements

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience
  • Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to operate housekeeping equipment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to maintain superior customer service
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including standing for eight hour shifts
  • Ability to visually inspect and maintain cleanliness standards

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience including knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma
  • Any other combination of education, training, or experience providing the required knowledge, skills and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning baths and kitchens, clean all floors by vacuuming or washing, remove all trash from guest rooms, dust and polish all guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, air conditioning grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outdoor areas
  • Ensure all areas of the hotel meet company standards even if not specifically assigned
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and keep supplies ready by restocking housekeeping cart
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Always maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
