Job Requirements

- Experience in cleaning hotel guest rooms
- Prior guest relations training
- Knowledge of proper chemical handling
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts
- Willingness to work weekends
- Ability to reliably commute or plan to relocate to Raleigh, Durham, or Chapel Hill, NC
- Must be available for in-person work

Job Duties
- Provide exceptional customer service to all hotel guests, making their stay as comfortable and accommodating as possible while achieving team and brand goals
- Perform quality assurance (QA) requirements for the Housekeeping Department
- Thoroughly clean assigned rooms including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning commodes, mirrors, and windows
- Change linens and make beds
- Clean iron caddy and empty water from iron
- Perform other general cleaning tasks such as cleaning vanity areas and coffee makers
- Properly replace linen and guest amenities as needed
- Clean and stock housekeeping carts and maintain them in a presentable manner
- Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements
- Check for missing or damaged furniture and equipment, reporting issues to the Head Housekeeper and filling out work orders
- Properly label lost and found articles and turn them in to supervisor the same day
- Report any maintenance problems immediately to supervisor
- Administer key control for issued keys or keys left by guests, ensuring keys remain on property and are returned promptly
- Maintain security by keeping room doors locked
- May be required to work in the laundry area as necessary
- Remain highly visible and readily available to guests for housekeeping needs
- Take initiative to help or answer questions throughout the hotel
- Train new associates when needed
- Complete maintenance work orders timely
- Understand and implement brand service culture
- Perform all shift checklist responsibilities for housekeeping
- Support team members to ensure completion of daily workload
- Perform other duties as required
