Job Requirements
- Minimum one year housekeeping experience
- Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand for 8-hour shifts
- Ability to perform physical tasks including sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
- Willingness to adhere to safety and security policies
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year of housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
- Ability to perform the essential functions including physical requirements
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts and schedules
Job Duties
- Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning all bath and kitchen areas
- Clean all floors by vacuuming or washing
- Remove all trash from guest rooms
- Dust and polish all guest room furnishings
- Maintain outside room appearance, including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grill, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
- Ensure all areas of hotel meet company standards, even if not specifically assigned
- Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for cleanliness and presentation
- Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
- Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
- Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
- Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
