Job Requirements
- Minimum one year housekeeping experience including knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to lift and move regularly up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as needed
- Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to stand for 8 hour shifts
- Willingness to work indoors and exposure to extreme weather conditions
- Strong communication skills to notify supervisors of safety or guest concerns
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year of housekeeping experience including good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Any combination of education, training or experience providing required knowledge, skills and abilities
Job Duties
- Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning bath and kitchen areas, vacuuming or washing floors, removing trash, dusting and polishing furnishings
- Maintain outside room appearance, including cleaning sliding doors, air conditioning grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from outside areas
- Ensure all hotel areas meet company standards, even if not specifically assigned
- Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for cleanliness and presentation quality
- Immediately notify supervisor of any safety or security policy violations and guest concerns
- Operate housekeeping equipment and keep supplies stocked by restocking housekeeping cart
- Notify head housekeeper or supervisor when rooms are ready
- Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
