Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- basic knowledge of cleaning and laundry procedures
- ability to work full-time hours including weekends and holidays
- physical ability to perform cleaning duties and operate cleaning equipment
- willingness to follow safety protocols and infection control guidelines
- reliable and punctual
- must pass pre-employment and annual tuberculosis screening examination
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in environmental services preferred but not essential
- receives on-the-job training with supervision
- knowledge of cleaning devices such as brooms, mops, buffers, and other equipment
- interest in learning
- ability to cooperate
- willingness to work under supervision
- reliable attendance including weekends and holidays
- must pass pre-employment and annual tuberculosis screening examination
Job Duties
- Clean and service resident rooms, bathrooms, lavatories, offices, and common areas
- clean window sills
- empty trash baskets
- dust and polish surfaces
- sweep and mop floors
- arrange furniture in an organized fashion
- wash, dry, fold, and dispense linens and resident clothing
- return clean linen quickly to storage
- promptly return resident clothing to owners
- maintain laundry equipment cleanliness
- remove lint from dryer
- ensure tumblers are clean and functional
- verify that processed linens and clothing are clean, wrinkle-free, and suitable for resident use
