Job Requirements

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for eight-hour shifts
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, and balancing
  • Required vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to maintain superior customer service and communicate effectively

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience with good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma
  • Ability to provide required knowledge, skills, and abilities through education, training or experience
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet cleanliness standards
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning bathrooms and kitchen areas, cleaning floors by vacuuming or washing, removing trash from guest rooms, dusting and polishing all guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance by cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
  • Ensure all hotel areas meet company standards even if not specifically assigned
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
