Job Requirements

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl occasionally
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to stand for eight-hour shifts
  • Willingness to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions including cold and heat

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Any combination of education, training, or experience providing required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning all bath and kitchen areas, cleaning all floors by vacuuming or washing, removing trash from guest rooms, and dusting and polishing all guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, air conditioning grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outdoor areas
  • Ensure all hotel areas meet company standards even if not assigned specifically
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for cleanliness and presentation quality
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor when rooms are ready
  • Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
