Job Requirements

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience including knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience to a high school diploma
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Capacity to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed
  • Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to stand for eight-hour shifts
  • Willingness to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Ability to tolerate exposure to extreme cold and heat conditions

Job Qualifications

  • Other combinations of education, training, or experience providing required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning bath and kitchen areas, vacuuming or washing floors, removing trash, dusting and polishing furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance, including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grill, doors, windows, and removing trash from outside areas
  • Ensure all hotel areas meet company standards, even if area is not assigned
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for cleanliness and presentation quality
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security policy violations and guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
