Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Capability to stand for eight hour shifts
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
  • Vision requirements including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Availability to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Willingness to work in varying temperature conditions including extreme cold and heat

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience including knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to follow company standards and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
  • Physical capability to meet job demands such as lifting and standing for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning all bath and kitchen areas, cleaning all floors by vacuuming or washing, removing all trash from guest rooms, and dusting and polishing all guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
  • Ensure all areas of hotel meet company standards even if not assigned to a specific area
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Always maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
