Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months or more of related cleaning and maintenance experience
- Ability to read and interpret instructions and documents
- Physical strength and agility to perform maintenance tasks
- Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet on ladders or platforms
- Comfort working with cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Ability to travel between Bounds Family YMCA and Spanish Fort Y Express
- Reliable transportation
- Willingness to perform duties that involve bending, crouching, kneeling, and lifting
Job Qualifications
- Six months or more of related experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Ability to report and record maintenance requests
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
- Basic understanding of the upkeep and care of equipment
- Understanding of cleaning compounds and chemicals and their safe, efficient use
Job Duties
- Clean and sanitize assigned areas including mopping, dusting, and trash removal
- Maintain locker rooms including toilets, showers, and sinks
- Perform window washing, groundskeeping, and laundry duties as needed
- Operate motorized and non-motorized equipment related to maintenance tasks
- Record and report needed repairs, and perform minor repairs as directed
- Ensure building and property security during shifts and report incidents
- Replace soap, paper towels, and other supplies
- Set up furniture for events
- Stock supplies and ensure readiness for use
- Complete all other maintenance and housekeeping duties requested by supervisors
