Job Requirements

  • At least one year of relevant housekeeping experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand for eight hour shifts
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors with exposure to weather conditions
  • Capability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally
  • Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year housekeeping experience with good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to operate housekeeping equipment and tools effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Ability to communicate effectively and maintain excellent customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning bath and kitchen areas, cleaning all floors by vacuuming or washing, removing all trash from guest rooms, dusting and polishing all guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, air conditioning grills, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
  • Ensure all hotel areas meet company standards regardless of specific assignment
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Always maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
