Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- no previous experience required
- current hospital housekeeping experience desired
- 1-3 years of relatable experience preferred
- ability to perform tasks under supervision
- ability to analyze situations and act within standard procedures
- willingness to adhere to dress code and maintain neat appearance
- ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- punctuality and reliability
- positive representation of organization in community
- effective communication of facility mission and ethics

Job Duties
- Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner
- completes work assignments in a timely manner
- uses the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure
- observes safety precautions at all times including use of safety signs and roping off wet floor areas
- performs all aspects of assigned tasks in a manner that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical health care errors
- knowledgeable of all cleaning chemicals used in surgical suite
- able to dress appropriately before entering and leaving surgical suite
- cleans and sanitizes surgical suites and PACU
- removes all surgical waste and refuse including biohazard and standard refuse
- transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area
- introduces self to patients, families and visitors
