Job Requirements

  • Minimum one year of housekeeping experience
  • good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • ability to perform physical activities such as sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • willingness to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
  • ability to stand for eight hour shifts
  • willingness to work under exposure to extreme weather conditions including cold and heat

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of housekeeping experience including knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness, including bathrooms and kitchens
  • clean floors by vacuuming or washing
  • remove all trash from guest rooms
  • dust and polish guest room furnishings
  • maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, windows, and removing trash from surrounding areas
  • ensure all hotel areas meet company cleanliness standards regardless of assignment
  • visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for quality and presentation
  • notify supervisor promptly of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
  • operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • notify head housekeeper or supervisor about room readiness
  • maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
