Job Requirements
- Minimum one year of housekeeping experience
- good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry procedures
- high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- ability to perform physical activities such as sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- willingness to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
- ability to stand for eight hour shifts
- willingness to work under exposure to extreme weather conditions including cold and heat
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year of housekeeping experience including knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
- high school diploma or equivalent
- any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Job Duties
- Maintain guest room cleanliness, including bathrooms and kitchens
- clean floors by vacuuming or washing
- remove all trash from guest rooms
- dust and polish guest room furnishings
- maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, windows, and removing trash from surrounding areas
- ensure all hotel areas meet company cleanliness standards regardless of assignment
- visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for quality and presentation
- notify supervisor promptly of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
- operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
- notify head housekeeper or supervisor about room readiness
- maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
