Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience
  • Education equivalent to high school diploma
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally
  • Good vision including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Willingness to work indoors and stand for eight-hour shifts
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions such as cold and heat

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-year housekeeping experience with knowledge of housekeeping/laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • Education equivalent to high school diploma or any combination of education and experience
  • Ability to provide required knowledge, skills, and abilities through education, training, or experience

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning all bath/kitchen areas, cleaning all floors by vacuuming or washing, removing all trash from guest rooms, and dusting/polishing all guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance, including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
  • Ensure all areas of hotel meet company standards, even if specific area is not assigned
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety and/or security violations of policy, as well as any guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
