Job Requirements

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience
  • Knowledge of housekeeping/laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent education
  • Ability to lift and/or move regularly up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for eight-hour shifts
  • Capacity to perform physical tasks such as sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
  • Willingness to work in indoor environments with hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Adaptability to exposure to extreme weather conditions
  • Ability to maintain superior customer service skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience including knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to perform required knowledge, skills, and abilities through education, training, or experience
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with guests and team members

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness, including cleaning all bath/kitchen areas, floors by vacuuming or washing, trash removal, and dusting/polishing furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance by cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
  • Ensure all hotel areas meet company cleanliness standards, even if not assigned
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for quality cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock supplies on housekeeping cart
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
