Job Requirements

  • Must have at least one year of housekeeping experience
  • Minimum education equivalent to high school diploma
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Capability to perform physical tasks such as sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling
  • Ability to visually inspect areas requiring close, distance, color, peripheral vision and depth perception
  • Must be able to stand for eight-hour shifts
  • Willingness to work indoors and outdoors with exposure to varying weather conditions
  • Commitment to maintaining superior customer service standards

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience including knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures
  • High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
  • Any other combination of education, training or experience providing required knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Ability to maintain quality standards in cleanliness and presentation
  • Strong communication skills to report issues and interact with guests

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning bath and kitchen areas
  • Clean all floors by vacuuming or washing
  • Remove trash from guest rooms and outside areas
  • Dust and polish all guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills and windows
  • Ensure all hotel areas meet company standards even if not assigned
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public and service areas for cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor of any safety, security violations or guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Provide superior customer service when interacting with guests
