Job Requirements

  • Minimum one-year housekeeping experience including knowledge of standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
  • Ability to lift and move regularly up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Capability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally
  • Specific vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to stand for eight-hour shifts
  • Willingness to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
  • Ability to handle exposure to extreme weather conditions
  • Strong customer service skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year housekeeping experience including knowledge of standard operating procedures and techniques
  • High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
  • Any combination of education, training, or experience providing required knowledge, skills, and abilities

Job Duties

  • Maintain guest room cleanliness including bathrooms and kitchens
  • Clean floors by vacuuming or washing
  • Remove all trash from guest rooms
  • Dust and polish all guest room furnishings
  • Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, windows, and removing outside trash
  • Ensure all hotel areas meet company standards
  • Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for cleanliness and presentation
  • Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or security violations and guest concerns
  • Operate housekeeping equipment and restock housekeeping cart supplies
  • Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
  • Maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
