Job Requirements
- Minimum one year of housekeeping experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for eight hour shifts
- Willingness to work indoors on hard and carpeted surfaces
- Good vision including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Willingness to follow company policies and procedures
- Ability to report safety or security issues promptly
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year of housekeeping experience including good knowledge of housekeeping and laundry standard operating procedures and techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high cleanliness standards
- Good communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with guests and team members
- Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team
- Physical capability to perform duties including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
Job Duties
- Maintain guest room cleanliness including cleaning all bath and kitchen areas, cleaning all floors by either vacuuming or washing, removing all trash from guest rooms, and dusting or polishing all guest room furnishings
- Maintain outside room appearance including cleaning sliding doors, A/C grills, doors, windows, and removing trash from surrounding outside areas
- Ensure all areas of hotel meet company standards even if specific area is not assigned
- Visually inspect guest rooms, public areas, and service areas for quality in cleanliness and presentation
- Notify supervisor immediately of any safety and/or security violations of policy, as well as any guest concerns
- Operate housekeeping equipment and keep supplies ready by restocking housekeeping cart
- Notify head housekeeper or supervisor of room readiness
- Always maintain superior customer service when interacting with guests
