  • 1-3 years of relatable experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner in order to reflect the highest integrity of the Environmental Services Department
  • Completes work assignments in a timely manner
  • Uses the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure
  • Observes safety precautions at all times, uses safety signs, WET FLOOR and ropes off sections of floor for cleaning where appropriate
  • Performs all aspects of assigned tasks in a manner that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors
  • Knowledgeable of all cleaning chemicals used in surgical suite, ability to dress out appropriately before entering/leaving surgical suite, surgical suites and PACU cleaning and sanitizing, removal of all surgical waste and refuse both biohazard and standard refuse
  • Transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area
  • Always introduces self to patients, families and visitors
