Job Duties
- Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner in order to reflect the highest integrity of the Environmental Services Department
- Completes work assignments in a timely manner
- Uses the appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure
- Observes safety precautions at all times, uses safety signs, WET FLOOR and ropes off sections of floor for cleaning where appropriate
- Performs all aspects of assigned tasks in a manner that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors
- Knowledgeable of all cleaning chemicals used in surgical suite, ability to dress out appropriately before entering/leaving surgical suite, surgical suites and PACU cleaning and sanitizing, removal of all surgical waste and refuse both biohazard and standard refuse
- Transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area
- Always introduces self to patients, families and visitors
